Bearcat Stables hosts an experience that we could not miss – an open sleigh ride! While we have ridden on horse-drawn carriages in the past, this was our first experience on a sleigh ride in the snow. While the ride was much shorter than we anticipated, it felt really good to finally do what we sang about as children – dash through the snow in an open sleigh. Our guide was knowledgeable as she discussed the horses and various facts. We saw elk along the way and were able to behold the beautiful landscape. Normally, Bearcat provides blankets but due to covid this practice had stopped. However, we did bring our own blankets. There was also an option to have dinner in the cabin following the sleigh ride. However, due to limited seating per covid regulations, they booked up well in advance. The hot chocolate and adult beverages sold prior to our sleigh ride were just perfect as we sat around a fire pit awaiting our sleigh. Short but sweet experience!
