We love a good cruise! It’s pretty much a guaranteed way to eat, sleep, and vacay. Our last cruise was aboard the Norwegian Pride of America. We sailed around the islands of Hawaii and had a wonderful time!
Thankfully, the CDC just announced that cruises will soon be able to resume as early as mid-July as long as the cruise lines are able to meet the vaccination rates for the passengers and crew. You can read more about that here. If you’ve had the fortunate experience of a cruise vacation, then you know that this is probably one of the best and easiest ways to plan a vacation and make sure that everyone has something fun to do.
The ships have all sorts of activities and events onboard, but there are also excursions for each day at port that you can book–on your own or have your travel agent handle it. For parents that want alone time, cruises even offer kids clubs–camps for kids–included in the price. The camp counselors keep your kiddos entertained for the majority of the cruise. My kids enjoy the camps so much that I barely see them sometimes. I literally have to beg them to come to dinner!
Book a massage in the spa. Work out at the gym. Get in a session with a personal trainer. All of these services are offered. These are extras, but they are there for the taking.
Last, but definitely not least…the FOOD! They pull out all the stops on the cruise ships. I have seen just about everything. Chocolates from all over the world…Pasta bar…Filet Mignon…Japanese Steakhouse…the finest Parisian cuisine…Michelin starred chefs…all the cruise lines are constantly trying to outdo each other. You can always find food to eat and it’s usually fantastic food.
